7 NIGHTS - VISIT AUCKLAND, ROTORUA & TAURANGA

Following the success of our 2009 tour we are touring New Zealand with Robyn Rowland as our head coach again in October 2010.
This tour is ideal for true netball enthusiasts - teams or individuals aged 13 - 17 years old. We not only have skill development sessions with representative coaches but also a very good standard of match play through out. Our Aussie teams will train with and play against some of the young talented players from the Waitakere, Auckland and Bay of Plenty regions. We will also play a tournament with representative players from Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, Cook Islands & Niue as a lead up to their annual Pacifica Tournament.
We will again visit AUCKLAND, TAURANGA and ROTORUA and allow plenty of time for sightseeing, activities like white water rafting, jet boating and of course, shopping.

ITINERARY
FRIDAY 1 OCTOBER OVERNIGHT AUCKLAND
This morning we fly to Auckland, the “City of Sails”. Upon arrival we will transfer to our hotel, All Seasons Hotel (20 Wyndham St Auckland Tel No: 64 9 308 9140). This evening we will have a welcome dinner, a great way for all of us to get to know each other.
SATURDAY 2 OCTOBER OVERNIGHT AUCKLAND
This morning after breakfast we head off to Netball Waitakere to participate in a Netball Festival with local Maori coaches and players as well as those representing Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, Niue and the Cook Islands as a lead up to their annual Pasifika Tournament. Auckland is home of the LG Mystics in the ANZ Championship and the locals love their netball. Netball Waitakere are wonderful hosts, each year our group has a fantastic, memorable day.
SUNDAY 3 OCTOBER OVERNIGHT AUCKLAND
Today is a day of leisure to take a look around Auckland and maybe do some shopping. Auckland is New Zealand's biggest city and has breathtaking scenery, beautiful harbour and beaches, great shopping, cafes and restaurants. You could even try extra activities like the SkyWalk or SkyJump from Auckland’s tallest building the Sky Tower.
MONDAY 4 OCTOBER OVERNIGHT ROTORUA
This morning we leave for Rotorua, an extraordinary area of New Zealand. With its deep rooted Maori culture and geo- thermal environment this is the place anybody who visits New Zealand should see. Extra activities to choose from today and the next day include the Luge, White Water Rafting, Jet Boating or maybe a thermal spa visit. Our hotel in Rotorua is the Sudima Hotel (1000 Eruera St Rotorua Tel No: 64 7 348 1174).
TUESDAY 5 OCTOBER OVERNIGHT ROTORUA
Another leisure fun day to catch up on all the great activities in this area.
WEDNESDAY 6 OCTOBER OVERNIGHT TAURANGA
We head to the beautiful harbour side town of Tauranga. Our hotel in Tauranga is the Armitage Hotel (9 Willow St Tauranga tel. 64 7 578 911). We will join the Netball Bay of Plenty Spring Talent Camp with an Intensive Coaching Circuit and team building games followed by a social evening with our host teams, including dinner.
THURSDAY 7 OCTOBER OVERNIGHT TAURANGA
Today we will play games against teams from the Bay of Plenty Region, home to Waikato BOP Magic in the ANZ Championship. This is a strong netball region and last year the standard of netball was very good - we are looking forward to another great international netball experience. Tonight we will have our farewell dinner.
FRIDAY 8 OCTOBER RETURN SYDNEY
This morning after check out we will return to Auckland Airport for our return flight to Sydney.
WHO CAN JOIN THE TOUR?
Individuals / teams aged 13 to 17 years - everyone is welcome but numbers are restricted to ensure a suitable tour group size. Individuals will be grouped into teams for match days. Places will be filled in order of receipt of deposits (i.e. FIRST IN). Parents and siblings are also welcome to come and experience netball in New Zealand. PLAYERS UNDER 18 YEARS NOT ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT MUST HAVE SIGNED CONSENT TO TOUR.
